Flexigraze CIC is a non-profit making organisation which helps land managers to achieve specialist conservation grazing on agricultural land and conservation sites. They provide grazing animals (Highland cattle and Exmoor ponies as well as native sheep), throughout the North East of England, to manage grassland and heathland for the benefit of the wildlife that requires these types of habitat to survive.

The sheep used for conservation grazing locally include native breeds such as Manx Loaghtan, Hebridean, Shetland, Soay and Swaledale. Flexigraze have had some of the fleeces spun into Aran weight yarn at the Halifax Mill. The Manx Loaghtan has produced a lovely, plump, brown Aran weight yarn whilst the very dark Hebridean fleeces have been blended with white Shetland fleeces to create an equally squishy and gorgeous grey Aran yarn.
