Useful links to teaching tutorials

If we are prepared to stretch ourselves a bit as knitters, we sometimes need to find out how to do a new technique. There is a wealth of help out there on YouTube… but also a lot of poor quality videos. Here are a selection of links I have found that I think are worth the time spent watching them and more likely to help than confuse! I will add to the selection as I find more good quality teaching videos.

To start with, here are some good sites with lots of high quality teaching videos that you can browse by copying and pasting the links into your browser:

  • Tin Can Knits Techniques Resources:

https://tincanknits.com/support/category/techniques

  • Carol Feller from Stolen Stitches has lots of video tutorials here:

https://stolenstitches.com/blogs/tutorials

  • ACTechniques offers lots of teaching videos by Jen Arnall Culliford:

  • Stephen West has a good selection of videos on his website:

  • Videos from The Fibre Company. Some of the first ones you see are related to their particular designs but if you scroll down the page you will find generic videos that will help with specific techniques whatever you are making.

Here are some more specific links to techniques I have been asked about recently:
