Yarn Food is made in Devon by Helene and Oliver, a small family-run business who have developed four formulations to cater for a variety of natural fibres and skin types.
Yarn Food comes in pump dispensers of 100ml (20 washes) and 300ml (60 washes) sizes.

Crisp tea tree.SENSITIVE WASH
Completely fragrance-free, with no added perfume or essential oils.
How to use:
Add 5–10 ml to 5 litres of cold to tepid water.
Use 5 ml in soft water and 10 ml in hard water.
Submerge the garment or fibres and leave to soak for approximately 20 minutes.
Gently press out excess moisture without rubbing, wringing or excessive agitation.
There is no need for repeated rinsing.
Lay flat or block to dry.
Always follow the yarn ball’s or garment manufacturer’s washing and temperature instructions.
WOOL WASH
2–10% anionic surfactants; <5% non-ionic surfactants; <5% amphoteric surfactants; Lavandula Hybrida Grosso Oil; Linalool; parfum; phenoxyethanol; potassium sorbate.
COTTON WASH
2–10% anionic surfactants; <5% non-ionic surfactants; <5% amphoteric surfactants; cotton seed oil; parfum; Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Oil; phenoxyethanol; potassium sorbate.
SOCK WASH
2–10% anionic surfactants; <5% non-ionic surfactants; <5% amphoteric surfactants; lanolin; parfum; Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil; phenoxyethanol; potassium sorbate.
SENSITIVE WASH
2–10% anionic surfactants; <5% non-ionic surfactants; <5% amphoteric surfactants; aloe vera; phenoxyethanol; potassium sorbate.
