CC yardage note:
The contrast colour yarn can be made up of one or many colours. You can knit with a single strand of CC, or for extra ‘pop’ you can:

  • hold the CC yarn doubled (we used this method for the samples) - this requires double the yardage.

  • use DK weight yarn held singly.

  • hold a strand of mohair lace held alongside the sock weight CC for an extra fluffy halo.

Gauge
24 sts & 32 rounds / 4” in stockinette using larger needles

US #2 / 2.75mm & US #5 / 3.75mm

0-6 mo - 4 yrs: 16” circulars and DPNs in each size*
4 yrs - XS: 16” circulars, 24” circulars, and DPNs in each size*
S - XXL: 16” circulars, 32” circulars, and DPNs in each size*
3XL - 6XL: 16” circulars, 48” circulars, and DPNs in each size*

Alternatively you can use the magic loop technique to knit in the round using a single long circular needle.
