The Chantal Sweater V-neck is worked top-down in a slip stitch pattern, starting with a back-and-forth yoke that includes raglan and V-neck increases. Short rows are used to shape the back neck for a better fit.

Once the V-neck is shaped, the stitches are joined, and the yoke is knitted in the round down to the underarms. The sleeve stitches are then placed on hold, stitches are cast on for the underarms, and the body is worked in the round down to the hem.

After the body is complete, the held sleeve stitches are transferred back onto the needles to knit the sleeves in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline and finished with 1x1 ribbing.

Sizes:
XS / S / M / L / XL / 2XL / 3XL
The Chantal Sweater V-neck has a relaxed fit and is designed to have approx. 15-20 cm 6-8 in of positive ease with slightly reduced ease in larger sizes, to ensure a more comfortable fit. This means the garment’s measurements will be approx. 15-20 cm 6-8 in larger than your actual bust circumference. The sizes XS / S / M / L / XL / 2XL / 3XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 / 85-90 / 90-95 / 95-100 / 100-110 / 110-120 / 120-130 cm 31½-33½ / 33½-35½ / 35½-37½ / 37½-39½ / 39½-43¼ / 43¼-47¼ / 47¼-51 ¼ in.
Before you begin, measure yourself to determine the right size. For example, if your bust circumference is 92 cm 36½ in, you should knit a size M. If you are between sizes, choose the size based on how loose you prefer the top to fit. Using the diagram with the finished garment measurements can be a helpful reference when deciding which size to select.

Hey Mama Wolf Mokosh
£14.50
  • Material: 100% Merino d'Arles GOTS Wool

  • Yardage: 300m/100g

  • Needle: 3-4 mm

  • Gauge: 24 = 10 cm

  • Washing instructions: Hand Wash

Mokosh is one of Hey Mama Wolf’s most popular yarns. It’s a 2-ply, sport weight yarn made from Merino d'Arles GOTS-certified wool—with a 21 micron count, this is the softest wool native to Europe. This rare sheep breed hails from southern France and, due to the high crimp of its fleece, yarn spun from this wool has pockets of trapped air, providing insulation and resulting in warmer garments. The wool from this breed is exceptionally fluffy, bouncy, and soft.

Our favorite GOTS-certified mill in Turkey then spins and dyes our exquisite organic wool, allowing us to have everything under one roof. This reduces our carbon footprint and ensures that the wool meets our high standards for quality and sustainability. GOTS certification is important to us, as it guarantees the best for the environment, sheep, and even the people involved in the production.

Mokosh is lightweight, lofty, and has a fine sheen. This makes it ideal for knitting sweaters, hats, and shawls.

John Arbon Yarnadelic Sport
£23.00

The team at John Arbon say:

As you may know, John, the founder of John Arbon Textiles, is not only a spinner of yarn, but also records. This got us thinking that it would be wonderful to create a yarn range inspired by his eclectic record collection – everything from punk to funk. We had a cracking evening when John played us Mill folk a few of his favourites and, whilst sipping a few glasses of chilled wine, we all wrote down the colour each song evoked. Then the hand carders came out and we began creating shades to illustrate the sentiment of each song – and thus the palette for Yarnadelic was born. We hope you’ll find the 18 melange shades inspiring.
