Inspired by a trip to Sweden, this useful vest is named after the wonderful botanist Carl Linnaeus. Warm and feminine with a lovely drape, the garment works well as an extra layer over a blouse or long sleeved tee. The pattern is worked flat in two pieces, using an Aran weight yarn, and then seamed at both shoulders before working a clever moss stitch neckband in the round. The sturdy buttonholes are designed to hold the button in place to avoid any nuisance escapes!

Yardage of a standard Aran weight yarn:

Small = 665m
Medium = 760m
Large = 950m
X-Large = 1140m

Needle sizes: 4.5 mm (US 7) and 3.75 mm (US 5)
