The Market Henley is a lightweight, waffle stitch Henley-style top. It has a crew style neckline with neck shaping and Henley button band, and is worked top down (flat for the armhole shaping, then in the round for the remainder of the body and sleeves) with a sloped drop shoulder construction. The collar, cuffs and bottom edge have a 1x1 ribbed hem. It is designed for long sleeves, but it looks cute with short sleeves as well!
There will be 3 buttons along the button band at the neck, recommended size of 0.5-0.75 inch / 1.25-2 cm. The sweater is designed to fall to a slightly cropped level. The pattern is intended to be a boxy fit, but will have options for waist shaping if desired, as well as adding extra length as needed for the body and sleeves. This is a size inclusive design, written for 11 sizes (32-72 inch / 80-180 cm finished bust, in 4 inch / 10 cm increments) and designed for 4-8 inches / 10-20 cm of positive ease.
Sizes offered:
32 (36, 40, 44) (48, 52, 56) {60, 64, 68, 72} inches / 80 (90, 100, 110) (120, 130, 140) {150, 160, 170, 180} cm
To fit actual bust of:
24-28 (28-32, 32-36, 36-40) (40-44, 44-48, 48-52) {52-56, 56-60, 60-64, 64-68} inches / 60-70 (70-80, 80-90, 90-100) (100-110, 110-120, 120-130) {130-140, 140-150, 150-160, 160-170} cm
Sizes 68 and 70 are untested. If you would like to knit either size and provide feedback, I would be happy to refund your pattern purchase.
Note: The sizes reflect the FINISHED bust measurements in inches of the sweater, and listed below the sizes you can see the actual bust range for each size. The sweater is designed for 4-8 inches / 10-20 cm of positive ease. To determine the size you wish to knit, measure your bust, and add 4-8 inches / 10-20 cm to find the closest size. If you are in between sizes, size down for a snugger fit, or up for a looser fit. My sample is knit with about 8 inches / 20 cm of positive ease (size 44 on a 36 inch / 90 cm bust).
Note: If you are fairly busty, you may want to use a lower positive ease, or knit a size based on your upper bust measurement rather than your full bust measurement, this will help prevent the sweater being too loose around the rest of your torso.
Needles recommended:
3.75 mm / US 5 - main body
3.5 mm / US 4 - ribbing
I recommend using circular needles with a cord length that matches your bust circumference, plus either a small circumference (9-12”) cord, DPNs, or 40” cord (for magic loop) for the sleeves
May need other size needles to meet gauge
Gauge:
26 sts x 36 rows = 4 x 4 inches (waffle stitch pattern, in the round, blocked)
You may want to also swatch flat as some portions of the sweater are knit flat, especially if you know your tension varies between flat and in the round knitting.
Note: If your stitch count is correct for gauge, but row count is not, use this needle size but remember you may need to adjust your length
Yarn recommended:
Any fingering weight yarn to match gauge.

Alice is a soft and sophisticated 4ply blend of Merino d’Arles and linen. The yarn is worsted spun to increase the strength and softness of the fibres and twisted into three strands to create a balanced, rounded yarn that remains supple.
With 216 m / 50 g, it is at the lighter end of 4ply and can be knitted very tightly for durable socks without synthetic material, or more loosely for sweaters and accessories that will benefit from the drape of the linen. The natural springiness of the Arles merino gives the yarn a beautiful elasticity, while the linen adds a subtle shine and a feel that is so pleasant against the skin.
It can be knitted on its own for lightweight projects, but also doubled for durable, soft jumpers, or held with a lace weight mohair yarn to play with textures and colours.
Alice yarn is spun and dyed near Biella in Italy with GOTS-certified dyes.

Albertine is a 4 ply, worsted spun yarn made from the fleece of Merinos d'Arles, raised on an organic farm near Aureille in Provence, France, with a touch of silk from south of Shanghai, China.
The silk gives this fine (21.5 microns) and exceptionally elastic wool a discreet satiny sheen and a very nice drape.
These very fine fibres are combed into a ribbon to increase their softness and strength, and then spun in the Biella region of Italy, as no spinning mill in France today is capable of spinning such fine combed yarn. This single strand is then twisted to create a four strand yarn, dyed in Creuse (France).
Fibre composition: 90 % organic Merinos d'Arles (France) / 10 % mulberry silk (China)
Ball size: 50g
Meterage: 218 yds (200 m) / 50 g
Gauge: 28 sts x 40 rows on 2.5 mm needles (US 1) / 26 sts x 38 rows on 3 mm needles (US 2) / 24 sts x 36 rows on 3.5 mm needles (US 4)
Care:This yarn is not superwash treated. We recommend washing your knitted fabric in warm water with soap or a suitable detergent. If you wish to test the wool programme of your machine, we advise you to do so first with your sample.
