This beautifully soft and silky blend of mohair and silk is spun in South Africa from fibre produced to the highest welfare and environmental standards. The colour range is carefully selected to match standard solid yarns. It can be worked on its own or held with another yarn to create an endless variety of fabrics.

• The yarn is made from 100% RAS-certified alpaca wool (CU 890756). Products certified according to the Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS) contain alpaca wool fibers from farms that are independently certified according to animal welfare and land management requirements.

Svala by BC Garn – light, airy, and surprisingly versatile! Originally designed as a carry-along yarn, Svala can also be used on its own either singly or held double. Thanks to a special spinning technique, the soft alpaca fibres (21–23 microns) are spun into a fluffy yet structured thread. The result is a light and airy fibre that still provides stability and shape to your knitwear, all while maintaining the familiar softness of baby alpaca.
